Pike Red Devil Middle School Football Summer Camp

Grades: Rising 7th & 8th Graders (as of Fall 2019) and Junior Red Devil Team Members Time: 7:15pm – 9:00pm Location: Pike HS Stadium Turf Field Cost: $30 online (now through Friday July 19th) Cost: Walk-up registration is $30

Camp Highlights:
- Shoulder pads and helmet provide through Pike Middle School teams
- Work with Pike High School varsity coaches and players
- Practice on the Varsity game field
- Camp T-Shirt provided
- Learn the plays, techniques, and fundamentals the High School and Middle School teams will use this fall
- Daily guest speakers to discuss character and leadership

Learn fundamentals of the game
- Proper/safe blocking and tackling techniques
- Position drill work and fundamentals
- Agility and Ball drills
- 1 on 1 periods, 7 v 7 periods, and 11 on 11
- Proper contact will be taught, but the camp is not full contact. We will progress through proper contact levels and teach them how to practice safely
What Do You Need:
- Mouthpiece and old football jersey to go over pads
- Athletic shorts and t-shirt
- Football cleats are preferred but gym shoes will work fine
- Attend equipment issue dates when sent out by middle school coaches in July
- Water will be provided by managers
- Make sure they have a healthy snack before camp
